The period during which candidates can file to run for office in 2008 runs from March 7 until March 17. 

State Offices up for Election in 2008

Below is a list of state offices up for election in 2008, as well as information on each office, the current office holder, and candidate requirements.  A summary of state offices, qualifications, filing dates, filing fees, and terms can be found at the Lt. Governor’s website here

State Board of Education

Districts 1, 4, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 up for election in 2008
